Opening of a new public space with TRIF lighting at the University Embankment of the Neva River (Saint Petersburg)

This summer, a new fountain appeared in St. Petersburg, it’s located in the courtyard near the University Embankment. The fountain opening is timed to coincide with an important date, the tercentenary of St. Petersburg State University. The fountain is named after the founder of our city, Peter the Great. Small architectural decorations, benches, flower beds, as well as lighting from the Russian company TRIF appeared on the square around the fountain. The lighting gives the place a cozy look in the evening. Thus, the courtyard between the Menshikov Palace and the Manege of the First Cadet Corps became a new point of attraction in St. Petersburg.

One of the most remarkable decorative elements is the TRIF LUNA Q ground-mounted LED lamps mounted in paving stones. The 170 mm diameter LUNA Q lamps with frosted glass provide soft, uniform illumination. They do not blind the eyes and create a comfortable atmosphere for pedestrians and vacationers.

The great advantage of the lamps by the Russian manufacturer TRIF is anti-vandalism.

Due to its vandal-proof qualities, the LUNA Q can be installed in areas with heavy foot traffic. The luminaires are made of corrosion-resistant Aisi 304 stainless steel and polymethylmethacrylate ("Plexiglas"), known for its durability. Thus, our ground lamps can withstand possible damage from snow removal equipment. Moreover, they are resistant to the aggressive effects of chemicals used in snow cleaning. LUNA Q lamps are not afraid of vandal attacks, which is extremely important for urban facilities that are in full view of residents and tourists.

The service life of TRIF ground lamps is 50 thousand hours. The LUNA Q will operate smoothly in all climatic conditions, preserving its aesthetic appearance and not requiring maintenance costs.

With the opening of a beautifully landscaped courtyard with a fountain, a new place for relaxation and walking has appeared on the University Embankment. It is important to note that such projects promote respect for the city cultural heritage and create a comfortable urban environment.
