You install a LED luminaire in the ground, and some time later you see condensed water in it, which causes leakages and eventually damages the lighting fixture. This occurs because the majority of outdoor luminaires available in the market feature the IP67 protection class. This standard can only guarantee that the luminaire operates flawlessly despite being briefly submerged under water. It cannot guarantee the lighting fixture's operation in ice! Taking into account the harsh climate conditions of Russia, ground luminaires are expected to work flawlessly in winter, when the frozen ground they are installed in resembles a chunk of ice. And in autumn, the luminaires are frequently submerged under water. Obviously, the IP67 standard is not sufficient!

That's why we – the Russian manufacturing company TRIF – have developed our own sealing technology. It enables us to produce completely waterproof ground luminaires that operate flawlessly in any climate and weather conditions. TRIF luminaires comply with the enhanced IP68/+ice standard, which ensures uninterrupted operation under water and in ice, within the temperature range from -50° C to +50° C.

Robust and Reliable

The 3-mm-thick stainless steel body enables the TRIF luminaires to withstand the mechanical impacts of studded snow tires, heavy-duty vehicles and snow clearing equipment.

Absolutely waterproof

The light-emitting diodes are encased in a monolithic optical polymer capsule. This fully protects them against moisture, chemical agents, and salt. The special-design fittings make the luminaires mountable into all kinds of paving: asphalt, concrete, granite setts, flagstones, as well as border stones and stair steps.
