New finished project: the lighting scheme in Peter Semenenko Square

The formal opening of the industrial park on Prospekt Stachek in St. Petersburg took place back in 2018. It's named after the head of the Kirovsky plant who was in charge of the enterprise for many years. The square totals almost 7,000 sq. meters, of which 5,000 sq. meters is occupied by lawns, flower beds, and shrubs. The industrial park features two unusual monuments: a 1924 tractor cast in bronze and the rails of the Putilovsky plant with a commemorative brand, symbolizing the iron character of Peter Semenenko.

Despite the park's picturesqueness, it lacked high-quality modern illumination for a long time. A lighting scheme was implemented using LUNA ground luminaires and ICE GL luminous LED tiles manufactured by TRIF. These elements highlight the vertically installed rails, the tractor, and, of course, the monument with the park name that stands at the central entrance.

TRIF LUNA is the ideal solution for pedestrian areas and paths. Fitted with anti-vandal protection, these models withstand being hit by a stone, bottle, or other heavy objects. TRIF LUNA luminaires are suitable for use in all weather conditions. They function flawlessly amid frosts down to -60° C or in the scorching heat of up to +50° C. Thanks to the dust and moisture protection by the IP69K standard, the luminaires work uninterruptedly even under an ice layer. The second lighting fixture type, the ICE GL luminous LED tiles, fully comply with the above-mentioned standards as well. Such tiles were used at the main entrance.

The ICE GL luminous LED tiles are easy to mount into any type of surface, including paving stones. The luminaires are capable of withstanding the impact of studded tires, as well as deformations that may be caused by the movement of soil during freezing or thawing. High-strength Plexiglass and stainless steel boast high load capacity, while the high degree of protection keeps the luminous tiles in perfect working order even when they are fully immersed in water.
